Tony Sydor
Founder — Atlas Dive Services
Atlas Dive Services was founded by Tony Sydor, a U.S. Navy veteran, commercially trained diver, and graduate of the College of Oceaneering with a degree in Marine Technology.
Following his service in the United States Navy, Tony attended the College of Oceaneering, where he received professional training in commercial diving, marine technology, underwater operations, and surface-supplied diving systems. His training included experience with Miller diving helmets, the Kirby Morgan SuperLite 27, and the traditional U.S. Navy Mark V diving system.
Tony's commercial diving experience includes industrial underwater work at nuclear power facilities and paper mills throughout the Midwest, along with extensive diving work in Tampa, Florida, and San Pedro, California.
His diving background also includes serving as an exhibition diver in Tarpon Springs, Florida, demonstrating the historic Mark V diving system and the traditional procedures used to dress and support a surface-supplied diver.
In addition to his marine background, Tony has spent many years working in healthcare. That experience strengthened disciplines equally important underwater: safety, observation, documentation, accountability, communication, and attention to detail.
Atlas Dive Services brings those disciplines together to provide professional underwater vessel maintenance and inspection services in South Florida.
Services focus on the areas below the waterline that owners can't easily see for themselves — including hull and running-gear cleaning, zinc anode service, propellers, underwater hardware, and visual inspection of vessel components.
Work With a Professional
Atlas Dive Services brings commercial diving training, military discipline, and a documentation-first approach to every vessel.
